It's one of the first small batch distilleries in Chicago, and one of the leading craft distilleries in the US. Growing up Robert, who lived near Salzburg, Austria, was immersed in a culture of small batch distilling, which he effectively integrated into Koval and all of its products. The distillery supports sustainable agriculture by producing only organic and kosher spirits and also make everything themselves – from mashing of the grains to the bottling.
