Now owned by the Russell family, they run the gamut from Whiskies to Vodkas to Rums, but their core business is still Scotch Whisky.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eOne of their smaller brand labels is the \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e“As We Get It” range of Single Malts\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e. As the name implies, this range is comprised of\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e limited editions of crazy-good Single Malts at cask strength\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e without blending, chill-filtering, or adding colorings and flavorings. The catch is that they are contractually not allowed to specifically identify the distillery these premium drams came from. But you’re not taking much of a chance here… the good folks at Ian Macleod \u0026amp; Company have their reputations on the line and this project is a\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e labor of love\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, so each bottle is gosh-darn tasty stuff. We haven’t been disappointed yet.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eThis\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e Islay Single Malt\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e is no exception. Bottled straight from the cask in the traditional manner, this one is made from only the very best casks of smooth and well-aged Islay Single Malts. We detect herbal and peaty notes mingling with barley sugar and a touch of apple that lead into a spiced and rich finish.
